It Isn't About Rohit Sharma, It's About The Way Virat Kohli Was Sacked
"The All-India Senior Selection Committee also decided to name Mr. Rohit Sharma as the Captain of the ODI & T20I teams going forward." And that's it. No press releases, no press conference not even the ODI squad for South Africa tour, just in these two lines, BCCI announced Rohit as the limited-overs captain.
Who did he replace? Surely not the captain with the fourth-best win percentage(68.4) - 65 wins out of 95 matches (minimum 50 ODIs) among all captains, globally. Surely BCCI would have at least released a note thanking the sacked captain for his contribution but it's too much for the Sourav Ganguly-led management.
