    In the ongoing Vijay Hazare Trophy, the Uttar Pradesh team looked out of touch as they were in a spot of bother while chasing 257 runs in 50 overs. However, UP's dependable 'Lord' Rinku Singh stepped up as he maintained a strike rate of 162.50 in his 48-ball unbeaten stay at the crease. 

    Chasing 257 runs to win, UP were at 140/3 in 33.4 overs, requiring another 117 runs to win off 98 balls. At one stage, the required run rate climbed up to more than 9 RPO. Despite a 132-run opening partnership between openers Madhav Kaushik (70) and Aryan Juyal (100*), UP looked down and out at one stage.
