History Of The ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup
As the 13th edition of the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup nears, we take a walk down memory lane of 52 years of history. The inaugural edition of the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup marked the first time a tournament of its nature was held in cricket, with the men’s tournament only following two years later.
It began with two Wolverhampton natives Jack Hayward, a businessman, and England captain Rachael Heyhoe Flint.
