Dubai, Oct 2 (Cricketnmore) India opener Rohit Sharma took fifth spot while spinner Axar Patel clinched his career-best seventh rank on Monday as the two climbed in the International Cricket Council (ICC) One-Day International (ODI) player rankings, after the recently concluded series victory against Australia.

Sharma, who was awarded the man of the match in the fifth and final match against Australia on Sunday for his power-packed century knock climbed four places in the ICC ODI batsman ranking to take the fifth spot.
