इकबाल ने फेसबुक पर एक भावुक पोस्ट लिखकर अपने शानदार अंतरराष्ट्रीय करियर पर विराम लगाया। 16 साल से अधिक लंबे करियर में बांग्लादेशी खिलाड़ी ने विभिन्न प्रारूपों में 387 मैच खेले। उन्होंने 15,192 रन बनाए। तमीम बांग्लादेश के इतिहास के सबसे प्रतिष्ठित और शानदार क्रिकेटरों में से एक हैं।
