भारतीय क्रिकेट टीम के पूर्व खिलाड़ी और तृणमूल कांग्रेस के सांसद कीर्ति आजाद ने ओल्ड ट्रैफर्ड में भारत और इंग्लैंड के बीच दूसरे टी20 के दौरान एक कथित एडल्ट विज्ञापन को दिखाए जाने पर सवाल उठाया है। पूर्व क्रिकेटर ने भारतीय क्रिकेट कंट्रोल बोर्ड (बीसीसीआई) से इस मामले की जांच करने की अपील की है।
आजाद ने इस मुद्दे पर कहा है कि लाखों बच्चों द्वारा देखे जाने वाले मैच के दौरान ऐसे विज्ञापन की मौजूदगी गंभीर चिंता पैदा करती है। क्रिकेट के बड़े फैमिली ऑडियंस ने इस मुद्दे को खास तौर पर अहम बना दिया है, और तर्क दिया कि बच्चों को लाइव स्पोर्टिंग इवेंट के दौरान ऐसे कंटेंट के संपर्क में नहीं आना चाहिए। जरूरत पड़ने पर इस मुद्दे को संसद में उठाया जाएगा।
