As Business Planning Manager: Cricket West Indies (CWI) has appointed Lynford Inverary as its new Chief Operating Officer (COO) and acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO). CWI said the decision was made by the Board of Directors during a meeting held in Port of Spain. Inverary’s appointment as COO will be effective from October 1, while his role as acting CEO will commence on November 1 following the departure of Johnny Grave. "I am honoured and grateful to the CWI Board of Directors for their vote of confidence in my ability to lead.”

Cricket West Indies: Johnny Grave, the outgoing CEO of Cricket West Indies (CWI), has expressed doubts on the proposed 15 million USD Test fund making any difference to growing the longer format of the game.

CWI President Dr Kishore Shallow: Cricket West Indies has announced that Johnny Grave will step down as its Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at the end of October 2024. Grave has been in the position since February 2017, and under his tenure, West Indies hosted the 2018 Women’s T20 World Cup, 2022 Men’s U19 World Cup and 2024 Men’s T20 World Cup.

Of late, despite making for riveting drama, Test cricket's appeal has been declining, mainly due to the rise of T20 leagues around the world, something which instantly catches the attention of younger audiences.

Brian Lara Cricket Academy: The 2024 Women’s Caribbean Premier League (CPL) will be held in Trinidad from August 21-29, with three of the gamedays to be part of double-headers alongside three Men’s T20Is between West Indies and South Africa. It will be the first time that the men’s international cricket games will be part of a double-header with a women’s franchise T20 competition games. The three double-headers will take place at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Trinidad on August 23, 25 and 27 respectively.

West Indies Senior Women: In a significant development, Cricket West Indies (CWI) announced it had signed a four-year Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the West Indies Players’ Association (WIPA), with a commitment to achieve pay equity for their male and female players being the standout point.
