IPL Trivia: First Team to Defend the Title in IPL History
The Indian Premier League is the oldest franchise league in the world and was introduced by the Indian Cricket Board in 2008 after India won the inaugural T20 World Cup. Since then, the IPL has become one of the biggest cricket tournaments on the planet, and it has produced many superstars in this game. That is why every cricket board keeps a special window and does not arrange series during the IPL.
A total of ten teams take part in the IPL, and every team has some of the biggest names in the game. Chennai Super Kings are probably the most successful team in IPL history. They have played 14 seasons until now and made the playoffs 12 times. CSK is also the only team that has not finished at the bottom of the table in any season.
