HM Amit Shah Reviews 2036 Olympic Bid, Preps For 2029 And 2030 Int Games
Union Home Minister Amit Shah: The government is firmly committed to establishing India as a global sporting destination by hosting major international sporting events, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said on Thursday as he chaired a review meeting in Ahmedabad on India’s bid to host the 2036 Olympics and preparations for the 2029 World Police and Fire Games and the 2030 Commonwealth Games.
“Modi Govt is firmly committed to establishing India as a global sporting destination by hosting international sporting events,” Shah said in a post on social media platform X after the meeting.
He added, “Today, chaired a review meeting on India’s bid for the 2036 Olympics, as well as preparations for hosting the 2029 Police and Fire Games and the 2030 Commonwealth Games, in Ahmedabad.”
