Asian Para Games: Nishad Bags Double With High Jump Gold; Sahana Wins Historic Bronze As India Rise To Sixth Spot (round-up)
Nagoya City Mizuho Park Athletic: Nishad Kumar added a gold medal in the high jump to the one he won in the long jump for a magical double; Simran Sharma's won the 200m T12 in 24.80 seconds, while Baby Sahana Ravi claimed a historic bronze in para table tennis Class 9 as India had another successful day at the Asian Para Games in Aichi-Nagoya on Tuesday.
India racked up nine gold, 11 silver, and 15 bronze medals for a total of 35 by the end of Day Two of competitions and moved to sixth place in the medal tally, which is being led by China with 149 medals (70 gold, 44 silver and 35 bronze), with Uzbekistan following second with 56 (17-21-18). Hosts Japan are placed third with 63 medals, including 16 gold, 20 silver and 27 bronze.
