    Prime Minister Narendra Modi: Jay Meena’s coach Sudesh Sangte feels his 22 years of hard work with the Indian soft tennis players have finally been fulfilled after Meena created history by winning India’s first-ever Asian Games medal in the sport on Wednesday.

    Meena secured the historic bronze after reaching the men’s singles semifinal, where he lost 2-4 to Japan’s Takuya Kurosaka. His medal came after a sensational comeback in the quarterfinal against Sherwin Nuguit, where he fought back from 3-5 down in the deciding game to win the next four points and seal a 4-3 victory.

    Sangte, who has been working with Meena since he was 10 years old, said the achievement was the result of years of hard work and dedication.
