PR Sreejesh Slams India Hockey Team, Administrators After World Cup Exit
Former India hockey captain and goalkeeper PR Sreejesh tore into the men's team and the administrators for the team's below-par performance in the FIH World Cup in Amstelveen and said Hockey India will now prop up the Asian Games to sweep the problems under the carpet.
India crashed out of another edition of the Hockey World Cup without a medal, failing to reach the semifinals after suffering two defeats in two matches in Pool E in Stage 2. On Monday, India went down 3-5 to Argentina in the FIH World Cup, suffering their second successive defeat after losing 1-3 to the Netherlands a couple of days back.
