India Defends Asian Games Compound Archery Gold, Beats China 238-234

The Indian compound archery team, comprising Chikitha Taniparthi, Prithika Pradeep and Jyothi Surekha Vennam, beat China 238-234 to successfully defend the gold medal here at Okazaki Chuo Sogo Park Multipurpose Square on Wednesday.

India had won silver in the event in 2018 and bronze in 2014. This is India's seventh gold at the ongoing edition of the continental showpiece. Overall, India's medal tally currently stands at 53, including seven gold, 21 silver and 25 bronze medals.
