Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Friday said the state government is making sustained investments in sports infrastructure, training facilities and equipment support to help young athletes realise their potential and compete at the highest level.

In a post on social media, the Chief Minister said the government's focus is on nurturing sporting talent by creating an ecosystem that enables athletes to progress from the grassroots to the international stage.

"We are investing in our youth to nurture sporting talent and help them realise their dreams on the global arena. This is being done through a mix of infrastructure, training and equipment support," CM Sarma said.
