UEFA Nations League: Cristiano Ronaldo broke down into tears as he watched Portugal become the first nation to win the UEFA Nations League twice, edging Spain 5-3 on penalties following a thrilling 2-2 draw in Munich. The Portuguese striker scored his side’s second equaliser before having to go off the field with an injury.

In a frenetic final, both sides showed attacking intent from the outset. João Neves fired narrowly wide inside five minutes, while Spain responded with near misses from Pedri and Nico Williams.
