Hull City Stuns Manchester United In Premier League Opener
Skipper Bruno Fernandes: Newly promoted Hull City produced a huge shock in the opening round of the new Premier League season with a 2-0 win at home to Manchester United on Saturday.
Semi Ajayi put Hull City ahead from close range in the 17th minute following a corner and new signing Nobel Mendy powered in a header in the 38th minute to double the home side's lead.
Tottenham Hotspur conceded a 3-0 defeat away to Brentford, who took the lead with Keane Lewis-Potter slotting home from Mamadou Sangare's pass in the 12th minute. Vitaly Janelt doubled the lead in the 33rd minute and Michael Kayode made it 3-0 in the 49th minute.
