Demichelis Enjoys Winning Leipzig Debut In German Cup
German Cup: Martin Demichelis made a winning start as RB Leipzig cruised into the German Cup second round with a 6-0 victory at fourth-tier Eintracht Trier on Saturday.
Leipzig took control almost immediately in front of 9,000 spectators at a sold-out Moselstadion. Brajan Gruda opened the scoring after three minutes, before Willi Orban doubled the advantage three minutes later.
The visitors continued to dominate and struck again in stoppage time as Ridle Baku's shot was deflected by Gianluca Pelzer into his own net.
