Shikhar Dhawan last went under the hammer in 2020 when he was bought by Delhi Capitals at a sum of Rs 5.2 Crores. The Indian ODI opener has set his base price at 2 crores and a huge bidding war can be expected for this opener.

Mohammad Shami

India's premier strike bowler Mohammad Shami was not retained by his 2021 franchise Punjab Kings and is set to feature in the IPL 2022 Mega Auction at 2 crores INR. Shami has taken 79 wickets in 77 IPL matches averaging 30.40.

Mohammad Shami was picked by Punjab Kings at 4.8 crores INR in the last year's IPL auction and has set his base price Rs 2 crore for IPL 2022 Mega Auction.

Faf du Plessis

The South African batter was signed by CSK in 2011 and has been with them ever since. When Chennai was banned for two seasons, Faf was brought in by Rising Pune Supergiants. Faf du Plessis has registered 2,935 runs in 100 IPL matches, averaging 34.94 and a strike rate of 131.08 with 22 fifties.

Faf last went under the hammer in 2018, where he was bought again by CSK at 1.60 crores using right to match. The 37-year old will attract bids starting from Rs. 2 crores in IPL 2022 Mega Auction

David Warner

The Australian southpaw, who was a pillar of Sunrisers Hyderabad till 2019, was discarded like an average player post-2019 season. David Warner has

amassed 5,449 runs in 150 matches, in his IPL career, with an impressive average of 41.59. The opener also has 4 IPL tons to his name with 50 fifties.
Warner was retained in 12.5 crores by SRH in the 2020 season and is sure to attract huge bids in the upcoming IPL 2022 auctions, with his base price at 2 crore INR.

Pat Cummins

The most expensive overseas buy in IPL history, Australian test captain Pat Cummins is set to participate in the IPL 2022 mega auction. Even though Cummins has 38 wickets in 37 IPL matches, he has shown his capabilities as a pacer for the Australian team and is sure to attract huge bids.

Cummins was bought in by KKR at 15.50 crores in the IPL 2020 auction after an intense bidding war between DC and RCB. The left-arm pacer has set his base price at 2 crores INR for the IPL 2022 Mega Auction

Shreyas Iyer

The former DC captain left his team as the player wanted to captain a team in the IPL and DC had already found their regular skipper in Rishabh Pant after Iyer was ruled out of IPL 2020 due to an injury. Interestingly, neither of the two new franchises picked Iyer and now he'll go under the hammer at IPL 2022 mega auction at a base price of 2 crores.

Iyer has 2,375 runs to his name in 87 IPL matches with an average of 31.66, striking at 123.95. The right-handed batter has registered 16 fifties in his IPL career till now.

Ravichandran Ashwin

The ace Indian off-spinner who made a surprise return to Indian limited over the side in T20 World Cup 2021 was not retained by DC, as they chose Axar Patel over Ashwin. Nevertheless, Ashwin will feature in the IPL 2022 mega auction at a base price of 2 crores.

Ashwin picked up 7 wickets in 13 matches in IPL 2021 for DC. The off-spinner was transferred from Punjab to Delhi in 2020 at a hefty price of 7.6 crores.

Quinton de Kock

The 29-year old South African retired from Test cricket to focus on his white-ball career which makes him an even more dangerous force to reckon with as a bowler. Quinton De Kock has registered 2,256 runs to his name in 77 IPL matches, averaging 31.33 and striking at 130.93. The wicket-keeper batter has 16 fifties to his name in IPL.

Quinton was bought by RCB at 2.8 crores in IPL 2018 auction, after which he was transferred to MI. He will undergo the hammer at a base price of 2 crores and is sure to bag a bigger amount for his services.

Kagiso Rabada

The leader of the South African pace attack and one of the reasons for Delhi Capitals' excellent bowling in 2019, 2020 and 2021, Kagiso Rabada will also be available for the teams to bid in the IPL 2022 mega auction at a base price of 2 crores. Delhi surely would have wanted to secure him but between him and his fellow countryman Anrich Nortje, they chose the latter.

Rabada was first picked up CSK at 20 lakhs in the 2019 Player auction. Later, he was picked up by Delhi Daredevils and has been their bowling spearhead since. Rabada has a terrific record of 76 wickets in 50 IPL matches, averaging below 21 and a strike rate of 15.0, surely a beneficial buy for any team.

Trent Boult

Trent Boult has also registered for the IPL 2022 Mega Auction at a base price of 2 crores. The New Zealander has played for four teams in his IPL career, registering a total of 76 wickets in 62 matches; averaging 26.09 and striking at 18.6.
