In the ongoing test match between India & New Zealand, India are now in the driving seat of the match. The Kiwis are at 4/1 at Stumps Day 4, requiring another 280 runs to win the match. This would be the highest run chase by a foreign team in India in 4th innings of a test match. 

India declared their second innings on 234/7 in the evening session, giving NZ batters just 4-5 overs to bat in the evening, and registering a wicket to further strengthen their grip on the match. Ravi Ashwin provided this breakthrough as he dismissed NZ's first inning's half-centurion Will Young in the 3rd over of the innings. 

Ashwin bowled a flighted delivery which kept very low and caught Young on the front pad. However, the 29-year old right-hander had made stridden forward to play the ball. The impact was around the middle stump but it clearly seemed the ball was going to miss the leg stump. 

There was a loud appeal from the fielders and the umpire adjudged the batter out. Will Young went to his partner Tom Latham and chatted with him. Ultimately, he decided to review it but the chat had apparently gone on for too long and the allowed 15 seconds to take DRS had collapsed. 

Will Young signalled for the review on the 16th second, but it was too late and Ashwin immediately went towards the umpire to bring up the issue of the allowed time for DRS. However, the umpire was vigilant enough himself and didn't allow Young to take the review.

Earlier, India after winning the toss and batting first scored 345 runs with the help of debutant Shreyas Iyer's 105. For NZ, Tim Southee picked up 5 wickets. In reply, NZ just managed to post 296 due to Axar Patel's fifth 5-fer in 7 innings. Indians have declared on 234/7 with a lead of 284 with the Kiwis now requiring 280 runs in a day's play with 9 wickets in hand.
