The level of women's cricket in India has gone up each and every year. Many of the leading women cricketers have represented different T20 Leagues in the world and have done brilliantly.
However, the BCCI still hasn't been able to put a proper women's IPL in place. The board began the Women's T20 Challenge, which is a three-team round-robin format tournament held side by side IPL.
It is an exhibition tournament established in 2018. It was last played in 2020 during the IPL 2020 playoffs.
