R Ashwin congratulated Virat Kohli on his stint as Indian captain.

On Saturday, Virat Kohli announced a major decision to step down as the captain of the Indian test team. The decision meant the end of the most successful test era in Indian cricket by a distance led by Virat Kohli. 

The Cricket fraternity was shocked by the suddenness of the decision and began congratulating him for his success as the captain. 
R Ashwin has been one of the most successful spinners during the era of Virat Kohli. There were several rumors about Ashwin and Kohli having a rift but the off-spinner has previously denied any sort of rivalry with his captain. 

On Kohli's decision, Ashwin wrote a thread congratulating the Indian captain on his stint, saying, "Cricket captains will always be spoken about with respect to their records and the kind of triumphs they managed, but your legacy as a captain will stand for the kind of benchmarks you have set."
