India vs West Indies: In the 1st ODI between India & West Indies, India is playing its 1000th ODI, while Rohit Sharma is playing his first game as full-time captain. And he has been spot on with his new responsibility till now. 

In the 11th over of the match, being bowled by Washington Sundar, Rohit Sharma was seen setting the field after the first delivery. Former captain Virat Kohli was seen assisting with the field placements. Rohit placed a fielder on mid-wicket, Suryakumar Yadav.

On the very next delivery, Sundar bowled an off-break on the shorter length and Brandon King chipped it straight to mid-wicket! Suryakumar Yadav dived to complete a wonderful catch. Rohit Sharma's field placement proved to be a masterstroke as India were able to break the 2nd wicket partnership of 31 runs.

While talking about the match, Indian captain Rohit Sharma won the toss & opted to bowl first in the first ODI at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad. Indian bowlers troubled the Windies batter as spinners Yuzvendra Chahal and Washington Sundar spun a web. While writing this piece, West Indies are at 114/7 in 30 overs.
