'Strangest Of Dismissals': Natalie Sciver Gets Out In An Unlucky Fashion, Watch Video

England's Natalie Sciver ran out of luck as she got out to a freak dismissal during the Women's World Cup Match.

The best thing about sport is something new and interesting happens every time it is played. Cricket is a game in which an athlete relies a lot on luck - knowingly and unknowingly. Sometimes the players get lucky - catch drop for example - and win the match for the team and sometimes they just run out of luck. 

Today, Natalie Sciver ran out of luck and got out to the strangest of dismissals. 

During England vs South Africa Women's World Cup match, the defending champions lost two early wickets after being put in to bat first. England's number four Natalie Sciver came out to bat and began rebuilding the innings with Tammy Beaumont. 

Sciver was playing well for her 16 runs. She was looking well-set before luck played its part. In the 12th over, Masabata Klaas bowled a half-pitched delivery down the leg, waiting to be hit. Sciver's eyes lit as her bat got ready to smack the ball. 

She swung the bat hard to pull but the ball touched her hip first and then struck on the backside of the bat. Now since the bat was in motion, the ball, after hitting the back of the bat, went towards the first slip where Lizelle Lee was standing and took a dolly catch. 

Sciver couldn't believe what happened and went back to the pavilion shaking her head.
