WATCH: Michael Bracewell Takes Hat-Trick In His First Over In T20Is; Takes Kiwis To Win Against Ireland In 2nd T20I

New Zealand defeated Ireland by 88 runs in the 2nd T20I, building an unassailable lead of 2-0 in the 3-match series with the 3rd T20 yet to be played.

IRE vs NZ 2nd T20I - In the 2nd T20I between Ireland and New Zealand played in Belfast, Michael Bracewell scripted history by doing a hattrick. Generally, a wicket-keeper-batter, bowling the 14th over of the Irish inning, Bracewell dismissed Mark Adair on the third ball of the over, Barry McCarthy on the fourth delivery and Craig young on the 5th delivery. Dane Cleaver was keeping the wickets for New Zealand in this match. 

Right-handed spinner, Michael Bracewell bowled just 5 deliveries in this match and conceded just 5 runs while registering 3 wickets to his name. It is noteworthy that it was Bracewell's first ever over in T20 internationals. However, the 31-year-old has registered 5 and 7 wickets in Tests and ODIs respectively.

Bracewell became the third New Zealand bowler ever to do a hattrick in T20 internationals. Prior to him, Jacob Oram did a hattrick in 2009 against Sri Lanka while Tim Southee took a hat-trick against Pakistan in the 2010-11 season.

While talking about the match, New Zealand defeated Ireland by 88 runs and built an unassailable 2-0 lead in the 3-match series. After being put in to bat first, New Zealand scored 179 runs for 4 wickets in their 20 overs, courtesy of Dane Cleaver's unbeaten 78 off 55 balls with 5 fours & 4 sixes. In reply, Ireland were restricted to just 91 runs in 13.5 overs, losing the match by 88 runs. This match was played at Civil Service Cricket Club, Belfast.
