Big Bash League 2021-22: In the final of the Big Bash League season 11, Perth Scorchers thrashed Sydney Sixers by 79 runs to win the title for record 4th time. However, Scorchers' Jhye Richardson was seen with a bloody nose and mouth moments after he picked the final wicket of the match.
What actually went down was Jhye Richardson dismissed last Sixers' batter Steve OKeefe with an LBW and the whole team engaged in intense celebrations. During this, a teammate's shoulder struck against Richardson's nose and it started bleeding.
Jhye Richardson was still laughing with a bloody face as the blood proved to be insufficient to stop the player's happiness of becoming a champion for the second time in a matter of 4 months. During this, Australia's ex-cricketer Brad Hodge came onto the ground to interview Jhye Richardson and even during the interview Richardson was seen with blood on his nose and mouth.
