Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya has been in impressive form ever since his return in IPL 2022. After playing a tremendous knock with the bat, the all-rounder was handed the ball by captain Rohit Sharma inside the powerplay. Pandya repaid the faith as he shattered the top-order English batting lineup as he grabbed 3 wickets in just 7 balls to turn the match in India's favour. Prior to this, Hardik Pandya notched up his maiden T20I fifty in the first innings.

Batting first, team India scored 198 runs in 20 overs and set a target of 199 runs in front of England. While chasing a huge total, England lost captain Jos Buttler early for a golden duck, in the first over. However, Hardik Pandya dealt the deathliest blow to the England cricket team. Pandya clean bowled David Malan in his first over and Liam Livingstone, who came out to bat next, threw his wicket away on a duck.

Before England could deal with the double blow in a single over, Hardik Pandya struck again in his next over, as he dismissed explosive opener Jason Roy on the very first delivery. Jason Roy was seen struggling from the start and when he was dismissed, the English fans were merrier than the Indian fans as the opener scored just 4 runs while taking up 16 deliveries.

Pandya's 3 wickets inside 7 deliveries completely put England out of the contest. The all-rounder has been in tremendous form since the IPL 2022 and has continued his form in the international circuit as well for team India. If he manages to maintain his form and fitness, he can be a key player for team India in the upcoming T20 World Cup 2022 later this year in Australia.
