WATCH: Ajinkya Rahane Sends Off 20-Year Old Yashasvi Jaiswal Amidst Duleep Trophy Final

Ajinkya Rahane made a brave move as he sent Yashasvi Jaiswal off the field for indiscipline during the Duleep Trophy final.

In the final match of the Duleep Trophy 2022, a lot of 'drama' was witnessed. West Zone captain Ajinkya Rahane sent Yashasvi Jaiswal off the field. 20-year-old Yashasvi Jaiswal was consistently sledging the opponent batters due to which the on-field umpire also warned the youngster. Before this incident, Yashavi was given two-three warnings to not sledge the batters, but it was of no effect on the player. 

Umpires were seen talking to captain Ajinkya Rahane. Ajinkya Rahane was then seen explaining Yashasvi Jaiswal to not to continue with this tactic but even when this was of no effect, Rahane told Yashasvi to go off the field. After this, Yashasvi obviously looked distraught with his captain while walking off the field.

Yashasvi Jaiswal had to walk off the ground disappointed. This happened in the 57th over where Ajinkya Rahane was also seen talking to Shreyas Iyer during the incident. During this, the commentators were heard saying that it would be Rahane's decision whether or not Yashasvi Jaiswal stays on the field. 

While talking about the match, 20-year-old Yashasvi Jaiswal scripted history with the bat. Yashasvi played a glorious knock of 265 runs with which he also became the fourth player to smack a double century in the Duleep Trophy final under the age of 21.

West Zone won this match by 294 runs. Team West Zone scored 270 runs in the first innings, in reply to which South Zone scored 327 runs. In the second innings, Yashasvi's 265 powered West Zone to 585 runs after which they declared their innings. In reply, South Zone were bowled out for 234 runs and lost the final. x
