In the ongoing 1st Ashes test match between Australia & England, Australia displayed a powerful performance even on the second day and a win looks highly probable for the team. The England team was facing a shortage of bowlers and so captain Joe Root held the ball, and took #1 ranked player's wicket.
After English bowlers Ollie Robinson & Ben Stokes were seen suffering from injuries, England were short of bowling options. Consequently, captain Joe Root brought himself into the attack. Earlier this year, Joe Root had picked a five-wicket haul against India in India and proved his bowling mantle.
This time around, Joe Root, the #1 ranked test batter in the world dismissed #1 ranked bowler in the world - Pat Cummins. It was the softest of dismissals, Root pitched the ball on full length. Aussie captain Pat Cummins nudged it towards on side but caught an inside edge which was caught in the leg slip by Haseeb Hameed.
