Warner, Rashid guide Hyderabad to 9-wkt victory against Gujarat

April 9 (CRICKETNMORE) - Skipper David Warner unbeaten 76 and magiacal spell by Rashid Khan guide Sunrisers Hyderabad to a nine-wicket victory with 27 balls to spare against Gujarat Lions in the IPL 2017 match at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium on Sunday.

Toss: Sunrisers Hyderabad captain David Warner won the toss and opted to field.

Gujarat Innings - 135/7 in 20 Overs

Hyderabad bowlers took advantage of the home ground and restricted Gujarat Lions to 135/7. Afghanistan Leg-spinner rashin Khan was the pick of the bowlers as he took 3 vital wickets of Gujarat for just 19 runs. he first dismissed McCullam and later sent Raina and Finch also back to the pavillion. 

Dwayne Smith remained the top scorer for Gujarat with 37. Jason Roy and Dinesh Karthik also scored 31 and 30 respectively. Bhuvaneshwar Kumar also took 2 wickets.

Sunrisers Hyderabad - 140/1 in 15.3 Overs

After loosing Shikhar Dhawan early, captain David Warner and Moises Constantino Henriques unbeaten partnership of 108 runs guided Hyderabad to a comfortale 9-wicket victory.

Warner remained unbeaten on 76 while Henriques scored unbeaten 52. Praveen Kumar took the only wicket for Gujarat Lions
