VIDEO: Ben Stokes Smashes Nathan Lyon For A Monstrous Six; Ball Disappears Deep In The Stands

Australia vs England: In the ongoing third Ashes test, England's all-rounder Ben Stokes played a knock of 25 runs off 60 balls. Stokes smacked two fours & a six in his innings. His six was the first by any English batter in the first innings. 

In the 40th over being bowled by Nathan Lyon, Stokes came down the track and smashed the third delivery for a maximum towards long-on, and the ball landed 15 rows back in the stands. However, Cameron Green soon dismissed Ben Stokes as Nathan Lyon took the catch.

Ben Stokes has only smashed two sixes till now in the ongoing Ashes series. In the day-night test played at Adelaide, Stokes smacked his first six of the series on Nathan Lyon's delivery as well.

The English all-rounder has looked off-colour in this series. Ben Stokes has registered mere 90 runs in 5 innings, averaging 18 with the bat. While in bowling he has just 3 wickets to his name. 

While in the match, England were bowled out for 185 in 65.1 overs after they were put in to bat first by the hosts. Captain Joe Root as usual was the highest scorer for his team with 50 runs. 

For Australia, captain Pat Cummins and spinner Nathan Lyon picked up 3 wickets each, Mitchell Starc picked up 2 wickets while Scot Boland & Cameron Green picked up 1 wicket each.
