KKR vs MI IPL 2022: Mumbai Indians started off their IPL 2022 campaign with two consecutive losses. However, MI was missing their star-batter Suryakumar Yadav, who returned against Kolkata Knight Riders and immediately made his presence felt.
Coming in to bat in the 8th over after Mumbai Indians lost their second wicket in the form of Dewald Brevis at a score of 45, SKY held the crease and started off cautiously. He went on to smack 52 runs in 36 balls, and etched a partnership of 83 runs from 49 balls with youngster Tilak Varma to help Mumbai reach a sizeable total of 159/4 against Kolkata Knight Riders.
Suryakumar Yadav was out of action since an injury he endured while playing for Team India against West Indies in February. Since then, he was in rehab at National Cricket Academy in Bangalore and working on his fitness.
