Sunrisers Eastern Cape are off to a bad start in SA20 and are the only team who are yet to register a win this season. Sunrisers managed to score a total of between 170-180 runs in both matches and didn't manage to register a win. While in the first match, JJ Smits scored a fifty while opening, Tristan Stubbs, Tom Abell and James Fuller also played short fiery knocks. In the 2nd match, Aiden Markram scored 46 runs while Marco Jansen smacked 36 runs in 20 balls and Brydon Carse also scored an unbeaten 26 runs in 13 balls. 

Ottniel Baartman has been the top wicket-taker for SEC with 4 wickets to his name, while Sisanda Magala has continued his form with 3 wickets to his name. Aiden Markram also grabbed 2 wickets to his name but didn't bowl in the 2nd game. Marco Jansen would also have to get amongst wickets to lead the team to a win. 

MI Cape Town on the other hand are on the top of the table with 2 wins in 3 matches. Dewald Brevis is leading the MICT batting, and the team lost the match where the young South African didn't perform. Brevis registered 70* runs off 41 balls and 42 runs in 34 balls in the 1st and 3rd matches respectively. When Dewald Brevis was dismissed for a duck in MICT's 2nd game, Grant Roelofsen scored 52 runs while George Linde scored 33 runs. Ryan Rickelton scored 42 runs in MI's first match but failed to get going in the next two games. Sam Curran & Rassie van der Dussen would also need to step up to support the batting. 

MI would be missing Jofra Archer, who picked up 3 wickets in the first match. Olly Stone would also be missed who picked up a total of 6 wickets in the first two games. However, Kagiso Rabada's entrance has to strengthen the bowling as Rabada, George Linde, Rashid Khan and Odean Smith picked up 2 wickets each in the game against Joburg Super Kings and are still looking potent without Archer & Stone.
