South Africa have defeated India in the first two ODIs of the three-match series, and have already won the series with a lead of 2-0 against the KL Rahul-led Indian side. The final match of the series will be played at Newlands, Cape Town.

After Temba Bavuma and Rassie van der Dussen led the hosts to a victory in the first ODI, Janneman Malan and Quinton de Kock rose to the occasion with fifties as they won the second ODI. As the series is already won, key players may be rested. 

Marco Jansen was replaced by Sisanda Magala, and the bowler secured his debut wicket by dismissing KL Rahul but went for 64 runs in his 8 overs. Wayne Parnell may get to take the field today along with Dwaine Pretorius.

Shikhar Dhawan and Virat Kohli failed with the bat in the 2nd match after fifties in the first. Moreover, Virat Kohli was dismissed for a duck. KL Rahul scored an anchoring 55 while Rishabh Pant was the highlight with his knock of 85 runs. Suryakuamr Yadav and Ruturaj Gaikwad are expected to come into this match. 

Indian bowlers put on an average bowling display as they weren't able to defend 287 runs. Prasidh Krishna and Mohammad Siraj are expected to play in this dead-rubber match.
