South Africa require 240 runs to win in the 4th innings of the Johannesburg Test. In the 3rd innings of the match, the Indian batters tried their best to stay at the crease and score some valuable runs for the team on a bowler-friendly pitch. However, Rishabh Pant displayed his trademark indisciplancy as he threw his wicket away and increased Team India's woes.

The Indian wicketkeeper is having a bad run in the series in South Africa and hasn't played any match-winning inning yet. In the 3rd innings of the second Test at Johannesburg, Rishabh Pant couldn't even open his run account and threw his wicket away.

To put things in order, when Pant came out to bat, Rassie van der Dussen, who was fielding at a silly point asked Rishabh Pant about the fielder's controversial dismissal in the 1st South African innings.

Rishabh Pant lost his nerve after this conversation and in an effort to smack Kagiso Rabada for a six by going down the track, he edged one to the South African wicketkeeper. Senior & Retired cricketers were furious with this move by Rishabh Pant and former Indian great Sunil Gavaskar criticized Pant while commentating.
