DC vs RR IPL 2022: Rishabh Pant has been an unexpected leader for Delhi Capitals, and yet hasn't managed to fire once this season yet with a big score. Chasing a huge total of 223, Delhi were in all sorts of trouble. Pant looked assuring with his swift knock but was caught out after getting a survival in the same over. 

Chasing 223, DC were at 122/3 in 11.1 overs. Pant was batting at 43 balls when Rajasthan brought on Prasidh Krishna on the attack. After a single on the first delivery by Lalit Yadav, Pant looked to swipe the second delivery, which was a short one towards fine leg. 

Yuzvendra Chahal, fielding in the deep, charged towards the ball and tried to grab it by diving ahead, but made a mess out of it. 

Pant managed to take a single on the same delivery, and Lalit again took a single off the next delivery.

On the 4th delivery of the over, Prasidh again delivered a short of length delivery and Pant tried to loft it on the leg side, managing a top edge of his bat. The ball was in the air for a long time and Padikkal settled under it, completing the catch safely. 

While talking about the match, Delhi Capitals captain Rishabh pant won the toss & opted to bowl first against Rajasthan Royals in the 34th match of the IPL 2022. Buttler smacked his second consecutive ton while his opening partner Padikkal smacked a fifty to power RR to 222/2 in 20 overs. In reply, DC were halted to 207/8 in 20 overs. Pant was the top scorer for DC while Prasidh Krishna picked up 3 wickets for RR, while Ashwin managed 2 wickets. McCoy and Chahal picked up 1 wicket each. This match was played at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai.
