In the ongoing 1st match of the Pakistan Super League (PSL 2022) between Karachi Kings and Multan Sultans, Karachi were put in to bat first by Multan. As other bowlers went for runs, 42-year old Imran Tahir shone the brightest in Multan Sultans' bowling.
The right-arm leg spinner picked up 3 wickets in his quota of 4 overs, bowling an excellent spell to keep his team in the game after dismissing oppositions' top-order batters. SHarjeel Khan was the South African's first victim who went after scoring 43 runs off 31 balls, etching a partnership of 66 runs with Babar Azam for the first wicket.
Tahir struck next as he dismissed the Afghan legend Mohammad Nabi, who went after scoring 10 runs in 17 balls. Nabi chipped it back to Tahir who caught it safely. Next up was the English left-hander Tom Lammonby, who was bowled by the spinner at a score of 1, facing just his second delivery. It is noteworthy that just 6 days ago, Tahir was representing the World Giants in the Legends League Cricket amongst retired cricketers, and has come up with such a performance playing against active cricketers.
