Ireland will take on New Zealand in the Group 1 match of the Super 12 stage in the T20 World Cup 2022. 

NZ vs IRE: Match Preview:

New Zealand are coming fresh from a loss against England on Tuesday. Ireland on the other hand are coming in from two straight defeats against Sri Lanka and Australia after upsetting England in their first Super 12 stage match. 

Group 1 is currently a 'group of death' as far as the points table is concerned. New Zealand, Australia and England have 5 points each to their name with each having a game left. The three teams would now have to win their last match, where the qualification would come down to Net Run Rate (NRR).
