2) Jacques Kallis 

One of the finest all-rounders in tests, Jacques Kallis scored 1734 runs against India in the longer format. He averaged 69.36 vs India and struck seven centuries as well in 18 matches. His highest score is 201 not out. 

3) Hashim Amla 

One of the best South African openers Hashim Amla scored 1528 runs against India in test matches. In 21 matches, Amla averaged 43.65 and hit five centuries. His highest score against India is 253 not out. 

4) AB De Villiers 

The most versatile batter of his generation, AB De Villiers hit 1334 runs vs India in 20 test matches. De Villiers averaged 39.23 and hit three centuries against India. His highest score is 217 against them. 

5) Virender Sehwag 

Virender Sehwag or Viru was one of the most devastating openers of his time. He scored 1306 runs vs South Africa in just 15 matches. He averaged 50.23 and hit his runs at a strike of 80.56. Sehwag smashed five centuries against South Africa. Sehwag's highest individual score also came against South Africa - 319.
