In the doubleheader Sunday, Gujarat Titans defeated Chennai Super Kings in the afternoon game, and in the night, Rajasthan Royals outplayed Lucknow Super Giants.

In the first game, a disciplined bowling effort from GT restricted CSK to 133/5 in the first inning and then convincingly chased down the total with five balls to spare. Wriddhiman Saha scored an unbeaten 67 to complete the run-chase.

In the second game, a combined batting performance took RR to 178/6 in the first inning which was followed by a dominating bowling effort to keep LSG 24 runs away from the target. Trent Boult picked up two wickets in his four overs that rattled the Lucknow top-order in the powerplay.

Latest IPL 2022 Points Table

Gujarat Titans, Chennai Super Kings, and Mumbai Indians are three sorted teams. While the Titans have already qualified for the playoffs and are on the top of the points table with 20 points in 13 games. CSK and MI are already knocked out of the tournament.
After the win last night, Rajasthan Royals have moved to the second spot with 16 points and a better NRR than Lucknow Super Giants, who slipped to the third spot.

Royal Challengers Bangalore have 14 points but a negative NRR means they have to win big in their final game and hope the rest of the results go in their favor. Delhi Capitals, Kolkata Knight Riders, and Punjab Kings have 12 points each. Sunrisers Hyderabad are eighth in the list with 10 points.

The catch is: DC, PBKS, and SRH have only played 12 games so far and if they win big in the next two games, they'll keep themselves interested to enter the playoffs.
