In what turned out to be a low-scoring affair, Lucknow Super Giants trumped Punjab Kings to win the 42nd match of the IPL 2022 by 20 runs. LSG succeeded in defending a 154-run target with the help of Mohsin Khan's three wickets & a valuable 13 off 6 in the first inning, and Krunal Pandya's economical spell of 2/11 in four overs. Super Giants were restricted to 153/8 as Kagiso Rabada breathed fire, picking four wickets in four overs. For LSG, Quinton de Kock was the highest scorer 46 while Jonny Bairstow's 32 was the best for PBKS.

After the win last night, Lucknow have now moved to the third spot in the points table with 12 points, tied with Rajasthan Royals, who are second in the table. Gujarat Titans are at the top of the table with seven wins. Sunrisers Hyderabad and Royal Challengers Bangalore are 4th and 5th respectively with 10 points. 

Delhi Capitals and Punjab Kings fill the 6th and the 7th spot with eight points each, followed by Kolkata Knight Riders, who have three wins so far. Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians are struggling at the bottom. 

Latest Orange Cap Holder

Jos Buttler continues to wear the orange cap as his 499 runs are still far from reach since the second-best is at 374 - KL Rahul. Shikhar Dhawan is at the third spot with 307 runs. 

Latest Purple Cap Holder

Yuzvendra Chahal is still at the top with 18 wickets to his name, closely followed by Kuldeep Yadav with 17 scalps. Umran Malik is third on the wicket-takers list with 15 dismissals.
