In the Monday night special, Kolkata Knight Riders kept themselves alive in the race to playoffs after a big win against Mumbai Indians in match 56 of the IPL 2022. The Knight Riders were restricted to 165/9 in the first inning after Jasprit Bumrah registered not only his best figures in IPL but also of the tournament - 5/10 in four overs. However, Bumrah's masterclass went in vain as MI got bowled out for 113 while chasing the target. Pat Cummins picked three wickets (all in one over) as KKR won the match by 52 runs.

There's no change in the upper half of the points table where Lucknow Super Giants and Gujarat Titans continue to lead with 16 points each. Rajasthan Royals and Royal Challengers Bangalore make up the 3rd and 4th spot with 14 points each. 

Kolkata Knight Riders have jumped to the seventh position after the win last night and they share their 10 points with Delhi Capitals at fifth, Sunrisers Hyderabad at sixth and Punjab Kings at eighth. Chennai Super Kings have eight points while Mumbai Indians are right at the bottom with four points. 

Latest Orange Cap Holder

No change in the top five run-scorers of the IPL 2022 list. Jos Buttler leads the charts with 618 runs followed by KL Rahul (451) and Faf du Plessis (389). 

Latest Purple Cap Holder

The most wicket-takers of the season list also has no change after last night. Yuzvendra Chahal wears the purple cap with 22 wickets followed by Wanindu Hasaranga with 21 wickets. Kagiso Rabada and Kuldeep Yadav have 18 wickets each.
