In the Friday night thriller, Mumbai Indians managed to hold on to their nerves to defeat Gujarat Titans in the last over by defending 9 runs. MI had scored 177/6 in the first inning courtesy of Rohit Sharma, Ishan Kishan, and Tim David's explosive 40s. GT's run chase was set up by half-centuries from Shubman Gill and Wriddhiman Saha. Daniel Sams had to do the job in the last over for Mumbai and he did it to perfection by only conceding three runs.
