Kohli & Suryakumar Fifties Take India To 6-Wicket Win Over Australia In Decider 3rd T20I

India have managed to win the 3-match T20I series against Australia by 2-1.

IND vs AUS: Courtesy of brilliant fifties from Suryakumar Yadav & Virat Kohli, India chased down 187 runs in the last over to register a series-winning 6-wicket win in the 3rd T20I against Australia. India have managed to win the 3-match T20I series 2-1. 

Chasing 187, India lost opener KL Rahul (1) in the first over. Rohit Sharma (17) was shortly dismissed afterwards in the 4th over. However, Virat Kohli then held the crease from there on. Along with Suryakumar Yadav, Kohli etched a partnership of 104 runs off 62 balls. SKY was the main aggressor as he smashed 69 runs off 36 balls with 5 fours & 5 sixes.

Suryakumar was dismissed in the 14th over by Josh Hazlewood. But Kohli kept on scoring runs and scored 63 runs off 48 balls with 3 fours & 4 sixes before getting dismissed in the last over. Hardik Pandya completed the job with his unbeaten 21 runs off 15 balls with a four & a six. 

For Australia, Daniel Sams picked up 2 wickets while Josh Hazlewood and Pat Cummins managed 1 wicket each. In the first innings, courtesy of explosive fifties by Cameron Green & Tim David, Australia posted a good total of 186/7 in 20 overs against India in the 3rd T20I. 

Opening the innings, Cameron Green smacked 52 runs off just 21 balls with 7 fours & 3 sixes. While Aaron Finch (7), Steve Smith (9) and Glenn Maxwell (6) were dismissed for single-digit scores, Josh Inglis contributed with 24 runs off 22 balls. 

Batting at #6, Tim David smacked his first T20I fifty as he scored 54 runs off 27 balls with 2 fours & 4 sixes. Daniel Sams also played a useful hand of 28* runs in 20 balls with a four & 2 sixes. 

For team India, Axar Patel was the most successful bowler with 3 wickets to his name. Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Yuzvendra Chahal and Harshal Patel managed 1 wicket each.

Earlier, India captain Rohit Sharma won the toss & opted to field first against Australia in the 3rd T20I. This match is being played at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad.
