IPL Records - Top 5 Batsmen Who Hit Most Sixes In IPL 2020

Indian Premier League(IPL) has finished its 13th season on a high. Mumbai Indians(MI) defeated Delhi Capitals(DC) to clinch their fifth title. 

The tournament was full of memorable moments. The batsmen showcased their hitting ability throughout the 60 matches of the T20 league. In the IPL 2020, a total of 734 sixes were hit. This total of 734 sixes is also the third most sixes hit in an IPL season, most being hit during IPL 2018(872).

Here are the top 5 batsmen who hit the most sixes in IPL 2020

5) Eoin Morgan

The Kolkata Knight Riders batsman Eoin Morgan was in phenomenal form for his team during the season. He scored 418 runs in 14 matches at a strike rate of over 138. He smashed 24 sixes in 14 innings he played. The English captain hit six sixes against Rajasthan Royals(RR), the most for him in an innings in IPL 2020

4) Nicholas Pooran

The Kings XI Punjab's (KXIP) had a slow start to his IPL season, however, he finished with 25 sixes against his name. He hit seven sixes, the most for him in an innings, against Sunrisers Hyderabad(SRH) during his knock of 77 in 37 balls. Pooran scored 353 runs in the 14 matches he played this season. 

3) Hardik Pandya

Before the start of the season, Hardik Pandya was struggling with injury. However, as soon as the IPL 2020 begun, Pandya came back into his own. He smashed 25 sixes in 13 innings. His best performance came against Rajasthan Royals(RR), where he smashed seven sixes during the innings. 

2) Sanju Samson

The Rajasthan Royals'(RR) wicket-keeper batsman Sanju Samson started the tournament in an incredible form. He smashed 16 sixes in his first two matches of the IPL 2020 itself. Chennai Super Kings(CSK) was on the receiving end of Samson's best innings of 74 in which he hit nine sixes. He finished the tournament with 26 sixes to his name in the 14 matches he played. 

1) Ishan Kishan

The Mumbai Indians'(MI) wicket-keeper batsman was not picked in the playing XI for the first two games. When he got the chance to play against Royal Challengers Bangalore(RCB), he made sure everyone remembered him. Kishan smashed nine sixes during his innings of 99. Ishan went on to become the highest run-getter for MI(516) and finished with most sixes in IPL 2020 - 30.
