IPL 2022: Delhi Capitals Defeat Sunrisers Hyderabad By 21 Runs

DC vs SRH IPL 2022: Delhi Capitals defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad by 21 runs in the 50th match, played at Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai.

DC vs SRH IPL 2022: Delhi Capitals pacers Khaleel Ahmed & Anrich Nortje displayed excellent bowling performances as they defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad by 21 runs. 

For Delhi Capitals, Khaleel Ahmed, who made a comeback from injury, picked up 4 wickets while giving away 30 runs in 4 overs. Shardul Thakur picked up 2 wickets while Anrich Nortje, Kuldeep Yadav & Mitchell Marsh managed 1 wicket each to restrict SRH to 186/8 in 20 overs.

For Sunrisers Hyderabad, Nicholas Pooran was the top scorer with 62 runs in 34 balls, smashing 2 fours & 6 sixes. Aiden Markram also contributed with 42 runs in 25 balls with 4 fours and 3 sixes. 

With this win, Delhi Capitals are now at 10 points in 10 matches with 5 wins & 5 losses. DC has joined Punjab Kings & Sunrisers Hyderabad in the 10-point club.

In the first innings, David Warner & Rovman Powell played explosives knocks and powered Delhi Capitals to a total of 206/3 in 20 overs. 

Playing against SRH for the first time, David Warner smacked an unbeaten 92 runs in 58 balls with 12 fours & 3 sixes. Rovman Powell also scored 67 runs in 35 balls including  3 fours & 6 sixes as DC posted a mammoth total. 

For SRH, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Sean Abbott & Shreyas Gopal picked up 1 wicket each.

Earlier, SRH captain Kane Williamson won the toss & field first against DC in the 50th match of IPL 2022. This match is being played at Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai.
