GT vs DC IPL 2022: The all-rounder status of Hardik Pandya was in doubt in recent times due to his inability to bowl owing to injury. The explosive all-rounder worked hard at NCA to recover and continue bowling again and has returned in full form.

In the 10th match of IPL 2022 between Gujarat Titans & Delhi Capitals, GT captain Hardik Pandya took on the onus to bowl the second over of the DC innings, against destructive openers Tim Seifert and Prithvi Shaw. Hardik bowled his full quota of 4 overs in the first match for Gujarat Titans against Lucknow Super Giants but went wicketless, however on the very first ball of his first over Hardik struck for GT with a wicket. 

Hardik Pandya bowled the first ball on a back of a length and the delivery went along sticking to the surface. Seifert was on the backfoot and checked his shot, chipping it to Abhinav Manohar fielding at mid-wicket, who moved to his left to take a simple catch. 

This is Hardik Pandya's first wicket while playing for his home franchise Gujarat Titans. Hardik was picked up by Gujarat Giants as a draft pick for 15 crores INR ahead of the IPL 2022 mega auction and announced as their captain. The 28-year old captained them to victory against Lucknow Super Giants as GT defeated the other new franchise this season by 5 wickets. 

While talking about the match, after being put in to bat first Delhi Capitals' captain Rishabh Pant, Gujarat Titans posted a target of 172, powered by Shubman Gill's 84 runs off 46 balls. For DC, Mustafizur Rahman picked up 3 wickets while Khaleel Ahmad picked up 2. Kuldeep Yadav also picked up a wicket.
