IPL 2020: Jadeja, Rayudu Take CSK To 179/4
Late striking from Ravindra Jadeja and Ambati Rayudu takes Chennai Super Kings(CSK) to a fighting total of 179/4 against Delhi Capitals(DC).
Earlier, CSK Captain MS Dhoni won the toss and opted to bat first. The team got off to an ordinary start scoring 39 runs in the powerplay while losing one wicket.
Faf du Plessis(58) and Shane Watson(36) partnered to score 87 runs for the second wicket. The scoring rate went down in the next few overs before Ravindra Jadeja(33*) and Ambati Rayudu(45*) started to smash the bowlers in the last three overs.
Both Jadeja and Rayudu scored 50 runs between them off 21 balls. CSK scored 67 runs in the last five overs.
For DC, Axar Patel bowled an economical spell of 23 runs without taking any wicket. Anrich Nortje took two wickets in his four overs while conceding 44 runs.
