Rachin Ravindra has been in the news ever since he played his first game in India, not only for his game but also for his name as well. When he was asked about his name, Rachin said it was a mixture of his father's two favorite players - Rahul Dravid and Sachin

But in the Test series, Rachin has encountered another namesake of his - Ravindra Jadeja. Apart from the similar names, the two also wear the same jersey number - 8, bowl slow left-arm spin, and bat left-handed. 

On day 3 of India vs New Zealand's first test, debutant Rachin Ravindra came out to bat at number seven. The left-hander came in during a tricky situation where New Zealand had lost Tom Latham for 95.

Ravindra Jadeja was in the middle of his spell and the two finally came across. In the encounter between the two, Jadeja won the battle as bowled Rachin out for just 13 runs and New Zealand lost their sixth wicket.
