He became the fastest batsman to complete 12,000 in One Day Internationals. Kohli broke the record of Sachin Tendulkar, who earlier achieved this feat in 300 innings.

It is also the third-highest partnership for the sixth wicket in ODI from The Indian side. The highest sixth-wicket partnership was between Ambati Rayudu and Stuart Binny, who scored 160 runs against Zimbabwe in the year 2015. In the second place, Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Yuvraj Singh had scored 158 runs against Zimbabwe in the year 2005.
