Asia Cup 2022: In the 4th match of the Asia Cup, team India registered a 40-run win against Hong Kong to proceed to the Super Four stage after winning both their matches in group A. As many as four bowlers picked up a wicket each for India as Hong Kong were halted to _ in 20 overs.
Chasing a target of 193, Hong Kong lost opener Yasim Murtaza (9) in the 2nd over. After that, Nizakat Khan and Babar Hayat etched a partnership of 39 runs in 25 balls for the 2nd wicket before Jadeja's rocket throw got rid of captain Nizakat Khan (10).
Babar Hayat (41), the top scorer for his team, was the next to be dismissed after he etched a partnership of 23 runs with Kinchan Shah. While picking up wickets at fairly regular intervals, Indian bowlers didn't let the run rate get out of control and went on to register an easy win. Team India are now the second team to qualify for Super Four after Afghanistan confirmed their berth the day before.
